Jenny Prior - Sarah Elizabeth Photography

Jenny Prior is Sarah’s younger sister. She joined Sarah Elizabeth photography back in 2004 initially helping out at the studio while Sarah was on honeymoon.

Jenny had always wanted to work with children and so originally trained in childcare. However, following her studies, Jenny decided to take some time out which is when Sarah suggested that they might work together. “Initially I busied myself with administration, assisted Sarah at shoots and more gradually, I began to pick up the camera myself.”

Jenny’s flair with children and natural ability to put people at their ease is a huge asset to the business. “I have nieces and nephews myself and I am just naturally drawn to children. So working in the studio with mothers and their newborn babies, toddlers and their siblings is one of my favourite jobs. It’s a real joy. ”

In February 2008 Jenny’s natural talent for photography was recognised when she was accepted as a qualified Licentiate member of Master Photographers Association.

Jenny herself got married earlier this year to Kieron at Hunting Tower Castle in Perth and enjoyed having the camera lens trained on her for a day. “It was the best day of my life so far - all my friends and family around me to share my special day and Sarah took the ‘day off’ to be my bridesmaid - fantastic.”

So what’s the best thing about working at Sarah Elizabeth photography? “I enjoy meeting people, and playing my part in their special occasion – it’s a real privilege.”
