I had already had the pleasure of meeting Karen when she was a bridesmaid at her sister wedding back in 2006 so was delighted when she asked me to cover her own wedding. I had heard loads of great things about Dunglass Estate so was very excited to finally be working there. It didn’t disappoint, the grounds are huge and were bathed in warm sunshine with bright blue skies. The focal point of the grounds is the beautiful church where they had their ceremony before cocktails on the lawn, see if you can spot their nephew trying to steal some of the cocktails! I could have spent hours in the grounds but Karen & Mark were keen to keep things low key and have lots of time with their guests so we stayed around the church area but were still spoilt for choice for backdrops. Karen is a teacher and one of her pupils came along to be their piper and did an amazing job piping them throughout the day. After dinner the party really got started and the dance floor was bouncing courtesy of The Man from Delmonte, not your average wedding band but they were absolutely brilliant. Check out Mark and they boys rocking out with lead singer and guitarist in the middle of the dance floor! What a great day, thank you Mr & Mrs Livingston, such a fun wedding to be a part of.
